09025 Connell Road Bridge A87 Upgrade

Project Brief: This contract required the replacement of the sub-structure of an existing steel I beam bridge. The piers and abutments were increased in size, with piling undertaken whilst the bridge remained open to the public. New end spans were fabricated and installed and significant repair works was also undertaken on the existing steel beams, deck and handrails. To complete this contract the pavement approaches were raised and chip sealed. |
7/10/188 West Coast Road Slip Repair – Design/Build

Project Brief: This contract was a design build slip rehabilitation contract involving the rehabilitation of three slip sites using a shear key system and two tied back timber pole retaining walls. The walls, with a combined length of 50m used poles of 350mm dia and 11m and 12m in length respectively. The Shear Key System used 850m³ of engineered fill and was constructed over a length of 25m. |
09027 Bridge Abutment Upgrades 2010

Project Brief: This contract involved the rehabilitation of three single lane bridges servicing the council network. Each bridge required the existing abutments to be removed with new abutment piles and caps installed in their place. In addition repair work was undertaken on the steel beams, diaphragms and timber decks. Associated pavement works was required to complete the bridge approaches. |
